The inspiration for this bass was a HUGE slab of beautifully figured Redwood Burl the team ran across at the Spector factory. The idea was to utilize as much of the Redwood on a single instrument while still spec'ing a full-featured instrument that wasn't too heavy. We wanted the bass to be a work of art that still plays and sounds great. We can say that working with Spector on this, that goal was achieved and exceeded!
