A few weeks ago, I received a call from Paul Reed Smith himself saying “I have one of the most beautiful guitars we have ever produced in front of me”. Paul said that this guitar represents exactly what the Private Stock program represents - one off, museum quality creations. Paul Miles and I found this exceedingly rare piece of bursted-grain maple in the Private Stock Vault, but it had a funky pattern in the center which I had the idea to cover in variegated 24k gold foil so the rest of the top was useable. This work of art is the end result. Instead, this guitar is receiving a front page feature on Reverb.com for its stunning beauty. Get it while you can, because as both Paul Smith and Paul Miles have said “even if we could get this piece of wood again, we would never replicate this guitar, it’s a one-of-one”.
