PRS produced the ARTIST SERIES I between 1991 and 1993, the Artist Series was the replacement for the Signature Series. Artist Series guitars had an inlaid headstock logo on rosewood headstock veneer, wide-fat neck, figured woods including artist grade maple top, abalone bird inlays, special thin finish, volume and tone control with 5 way rotary selector switch, Artist Series pickups, gold hardware and stop-tail options.

Cosmetic Condition: Very good - There is some minor pick scratching below the strings as well as a bit of buckle rash on the back of the guitar. The headstock has a few small chips. One of the control knobs has some cracks inside of the plastic. Knob is functional and holding strong but it can be seen at a close look.
Tech Notes: Excellent playing guitar with medium/low action and minimal relief. New 10-46 D'Addario XL strings installed. Fretwear is very minor, and board wear is non-existent. The instrument appears to be all original and in great shape. A small crack was noticed inside the plastic rotary knob. but it is not loose and doesn't affect structural integrity or playability. Pickups are artist pickups.
