1986 Ibanez DT-500 Black - Signed & Owned/Stage Played by Karl Logan (Manowar)

DESCRIPTION

The story behind this guitar comes directly from the guitar's previous owner. He took lessons from Karl Logan (Manowar) for about 5 years in Auburn NY. At the end of the lessons when Karl was moving out of New York state he gave the previous owner the opportunity to buy the first guitar he ever took on tour with Manowar which is this Ibanez DT-500. The story from Karl to the previous owner was that Joey Demaio (Bassist of Manowar) was in a motorcycle accident involving Karl which is how they met and how Karl ended up joining the band. Karl was very unprepared to tour as he had only played in local bands previously. Manowar doesn't do unpaid sponsorship and Karl at the time wasn't endorsed by any companies, so he took his old Ibanez DT-500 and had it modded and repainted to reflect the bands style. He took this guitar out on tour for about a year before replacing it with with an unmarked flying V and then later his signature "Impaler" V made by John Stillwell.

The headstock is signed by Karl himself. Included is a Manowar set list from Worchester, MA to which Karl wrote a letter on the back of it mentioning the music lessons and music career.
